 RENEE BRINK Owner/Consultant

One of my most vivid recollections of travel stems from my parents taking my brother and me, when I was 11, to that perennial classic: Disney World. That trip seemed to spark my interest in various destinations, followed by a dream of seeing the world. Later, in my teens, I had thoughts of going global by becoming a flight attendant. Well, I didn't quite become a flight attendant, but I've been fortunate to see much of the world.

In 1980, I entered Central Pennsylvania Business School and graduated with an associate degree in travel. I had already landed a job in a travel agency prior to graduation. Now, here it is 30 plus years later and I'm still in travel as Owner/Consultant at Uniquest Chambersburg Travel.

Some of my more exciting adventures include: fishing for Peacock Bass on the Amazon, snagging Arctic Char at Great Bear Lake in Northwest Territory; reeling in a Blue Marlin in Costa Rica. An 18 day family sojourn to Africa was most memorable, including big game reserves, the Blue Train and Victoria Falls. Favorite cruise destinations include the Galapagos Islands, Eastern Mediterranean, Alaska, Danube River and the Caribbean. I have explored many other destinations.

What's on my "bucket" list? ... Let's see ... Australia/New Zealand, Chile, including Patagonia, river cruising on the Mekong and Yangtze rivers. The list could be endless. Favorite way to travel? River cruising! Give me a call and I will help make your travel dreams come true.

Laura Bender, a veteran of the travel industry for 31 years, is a travel consultant at UniQuest Chambersburg Travel. In her position, her greatest joy is helping clients plan their vacations and sharing in their excitement.

Bender earned her Certified Travel Counselor through The Travel Institute formerly known as the Institute of Certified Travel Agents, in June 1990.
